"Proper Education" is a SAG-AFTRA Web Mini Series.

The MuzArt World Foundation has partnered with the creators of the online drama "Proper Manors" to create a new online show called "Proper Education". The goal of this collaboration is bring additional notoriety to the public charity known as The MuzArt World Foundation. The organization's goal is to guarantee that creative arts and music are always taught in public schools throughout the United States. An open casting call has been scheduled for middle School and high school students 11-18 years old, females and males, with artistic ability whether it is in the musical, performing arts, singing, dance, band, orchestra, visual arts, photography, filmmaking etc.

The MuzArt World Foundation was assembled by some of the top leaders in entertainment and education. The foundation provides an extensive far reaching educational program for kids and teens attending public schools, not just in the United States, but globally. The program encompasses the areas of arts and entertainment, human development, entrepreneurship, international business, and intellectual property.

"Proper Education" will shoot in the Salt Lake City area beginning in July, 2013. The series will center on students and teachers at a school in the small town of Proper, USA. As they make preparations for a global awareness concert that their school was invited to participate, funding gets cut off, and the students and educators must cope with the situation. Every episode will include a two minute musical number. SAG-AFTRA National Board Member Anne Sward will appear in the series as one of the crossover characters from "Proper Manors," as will many of the young actors from the show.

Rehearsals & Filming primarily on Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)

Rate: SAG/New Media Contract (paperwork being filed) $100/day deferred

Important Information:

"Proper Education" is intended to be ten 7-minute musical episodes of a web based mini-series.

SAG New Media paperwork pending ($100/day) – deferred for most roles

The story is of middle/high school age kids whose school is losing funding for the art and music programs, this series will act as an awareness campaign sponsoring the MuzArt World Foundation. www.MuzArtWorld.org

SUPPORTING/RECURRING ROLES:

Middle School & High School Students: 11-18 females and males, all types, any ethnicity, with artistic ability whether it is in the musical, performing arts, singing, dance, band, orchestra, visual arts, photography, filmmaking etc.

Come prepared with 2 copies headshot & resume, tell us why music and arts is important in school, and one or more of the following : 30-60 second monologue, 16-20 bars of a song with your own accompaniment, 16-20 bars of song on instrument, 30-60 second dance routine, portfolio of visual art/ photography.
